Stress Programs by Rosalie Moscoe, Stress Relief ConsultantFrazzled? Hurried? Stressed?

What Can You Do About It?

STRESS: A buzz word since the 1980s, the S-word appears so often that we tune it out. Not only do we ignore it, but many people continue to live a hurried, frazzled life, day after day. But there is a way out.

Stress Relief Seminars by Rosalie Moscoe offer participants stepping stones on their pathways to well-being. Through her keynotes,  seminars or half-day programs, Rosalie Moscoe, health and wellness consultant and seminar leader helps people to reduce the effects of over-stress. Results? Better physical and mental health and a greater work/life balance.

A Stressed, Frazzled Hurried Lifestyle can result from an overload of:

  • Too much work and too many commitments
  • Relationship problems
  • Worry about finances
  • Time pressures
  • Physical illness
  • Boredom or lack of purpose in life

Rosalie will cover these and other life stressors.

Seminar Highlights:

Too Much Stress Turns Into Distress

In what zone of stress do you live? A zone of stress underload, a normal or positive zone of stress or are you in the overload zone? A normal level of stress (positive zone of stress) heightens our senses and stimulates our energy. It keeps us challenged and on our toes. However, most people don’t realize when they’re heading for overload or sinking into the doldrums. Underload of stress (yes, there can be an underload of stress), can cause us to feel bored. People with no challenge in their lives just live out each day bereft of purpose and meaning.

Whether we live in the zone of stress overload or underload, the day might come when we feel as though we can no longer cope. Even going out with friends can seem like a chore. Eventually, all that rushing and living frazzled, hurried lives, or searching for some meaning to them, can lead to physical or mental illness.

Stress and Perceptions

Stress is primarily caused by our perception of an event more than the event itself! How is this possible? Shakespeare said, “There is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so.” What is stressful for you might not make someone else blink an eye. But with effective stress management techniques, you can change your perceptions.

What is the Stress Response?

When the mind or body perceives danger, the stress response occurs. Our body goes into the ‘flight or fight response.’ Through many physiological changes, the body becomes ready to run away or to stay and fight. The stress response serves us well if we are being chased by a bear or if we need to protect ourselves. Our senses are heightened - we become stronger and we run faster!

Say Goodbye to Burn Out

Throughout her stress relief seminars, Rosalie not only gives audience members insights and awareness into their own causes of stress, but uncovers the keys to well-being. Techniques include relaxation exercises, ways to boost morale, holistic nutrition, computer stretches, the mind-body connection and Q&A.

Since many of our stresses today are psychological, the opportunity to get rid of the stress through physical activity (fighting or running away) is diminished. Therefore, increasing our physical fitness level is an excellent way of restoring the balance to our sedentary modern lives. Science  now understands that physical activity helps us to reduce the damaging, high levels of stress chemicals such as cortisol that circulate in our bodies.

Illnesses That Result From Over-Stress

Headaches, muscle aches (including backache, neck and low back pain), anxiety and depression can all be attributed to over-stress. Too much stress also causes stomach problems, irritable bowel syndrome, short-term memory loss, high blood pressure, heart palpitations, arrhythmia and heart attacks.

Enough is enough!

Eventually distress causes reduced immune function, making us more susceptible to physical or mental difficulties. Our bodies cannot cope with the onslaught of stress for long. Let Rosalie Moscoe, health and wellness consultant, free your staff and co-workers, from the stress maze and move towards healthier, more balanced, lifestyles. Programs always include a learning guide booklet to enhance ongoing learning.
